The Great Escape of the Multi-coloured Horse
The air at the Evil Zoo was thick with despair, the animals longing for freedom. Among them was a creature unlike any other, a horse of many colours. His coat shimmered with hues of aqua, crimson, golden yellow and emerald green, a sight to behold. His eyes, a crystal clear blue, held a spark of hope despite the oppressive environment.
One day, an opportunity presented itself. The usually alert zookeeper had forgotten to lock the horse's gate properly. The horse saw his chance and, gathering his strength, pushed open the gate and bolted towards freedom. It was far from easy. Predators lurked in every corner, eyes gleaming with hunger. The horse, however, was quick and agile. He galloped past the growling lions, leapt over the slithering snakes and outwitted the cunning foxes.
"I must escape," he thought to himself, "I must find a place where I can run free and wild."
Meanwhile, outside the zoo, a six-year-old girl named Matilda was playing in a nearby field. Matilda was a small girl with a big heart. She had a keen sense of justice and a love for all living creatures. As she was plucking daisies, she heard a commotion from the direction of the zoo.
Matilda's heart pounded as she saw the multi-coloured horse dashing towards her. She could see the fear in his eyes, and without a moment's hesitation, she decided to help. Matilda, despite her tender age, was resourceful and quick-thinking. She led the horse to a secret pathway, a route known only to her, away from the pursuing zookeepers.
"Don't worry, I won't let them catch you," Matilda whispered, her small hand patting the horse reassuringly. The horse, sensing her genuine intention, followed her without hesitation.
They journeyed through the forest, across the babbling brook, and up the grassy hill. With each step, the horse's heart pounded less with fear and more with hope. Upon reaching the hill's peak, they could see the open meadows yonder, a haven for the horse. Matilda, panting but smiling, unleashed the horse. He was free at last.
The multi-coloured horse, now in his haven, would often be visited by Matilda. They would race with the wind, and he would carry her on his back, exploring the vast expanse of the meadow. They became the best of friends, a testament to the bond formed on that fateful day.
