Zakario's Super Dino Field

Zakario's Super Dino Field

In the Magical Forest, four-year-old Zakario zoomed into the Ferny Field, the dinosaur field he owned, wearing a red blanket cape. The Power Rangers were his best friends, and today he called, "Let's make every dinosaur a superhero!" Ferns tickled his knees, pine cones smelled warm, and tails went swish, swish, swish.

Tiny raptors tapped near the berry bushes. An enormous brontosaurus munched moon-leaves. The Rangers clicked their shiny belts, and Zakario held up a sparkling Super Acorn.

"One touch gives one kind superpower," said the Red Ranger. "Ready?"

But the acorn wriggled. It popped from Zakario's hand and bounced over the fence, plip, plop, plip, into the glowing trees. Oh no!

"After it!" cried Zakario. He ran down the fern path, with Rangers behind and dinosaurs thump thump thumping softly after him.

The forest grew twinkly and close. Fireflies blinked like little torches. Zakario's boot went squelch in blue mud, and silver beetles pointed left with their tiny noses.

"Thank you, beetles!" Zakario whispered. Then he cupped his hands and said, "Glow bright, guide right."

A warm light fizzed around his fingers. Wow! Zakario had a superpower too. His hands made a gentle lantern glow.

The light showed round footprints, then long tail marks, then one small, mysterious tunnel under a root. The Rangers crouched. The dinosaurs crouched too. Even the brontosaurus tried, with a leafy crunch.

From inside came a soft "hoo hoo... achoo!"

Zakario peeked in. There sat a baby triceratops, wearing the Super Acorn on her horn like a hat. It sparkled every time she sneezed.

"I found a shiny helmet," she said. "Am I a superhero now?"

Zakario laughed so hard his cape flapped. "Yes," he said, "and you can be the first."

He touched the acorn gently. It chimed ting-a-ling, and the baby triceratops glowed gold. Her superpower made tiny flowers spring up wherever she stepped, pop, pop, pop.

Then every dinosaur took a turn. Raptors got speedy sparkle-feet. The brontosaurus got a stretchy rescue neck. The stegosaurus plates shone like bedtime stars.

The Power Rangers cheered, and Zakario stood in the middle, lantern hands bright and soft.

At last, the superhero herd walked home through the Magical Forest. Their powers made no bangs now, only soft glows and sleepy swishes.

Zakario tucked the Super Acorn into a mossy nest beside his bed in the field. The dinosaurs curled around him, the Rangers waved goodnight, and the forest hummed hush-a-hush. Tomorrow, they would adventure together again.
